Hobe Cie was founded in 1927.
Hobe jewelry was created at the request of Florence Ziegfield for the Ziegfield Follies. Hobe advertisements claimed the jewelry utilized high quality material, hand set stones and some were plated with sterling silver, platinum and gold. Some designs used semi precious stones. Movie makers and stars favored Hobe jewelry during the 1950's for it's elegance and look of royalty.
