J-1058 Trifari Patent Pending Vermeil Swallow Dress or Fur Clip

 

Trifari was granted the patent number 125,843 in March, 1941 for this clip. The setting for this swallow figural is Sterling Vermeil Pat Pend with the Trifari signature on the clip. The bird has a blue glass moonstone body with clear diamante stones on the edges of his wing, top of head and above the tail feathers. His eye is a bright red rhinestone and he measures 1-1/2 x 1-3/4 across the wings. The clip is nice and tight and he retains his original patina which is now a pretty rosy gold tone.
