J-Clp012 Kaywin Novelty Floral Dress Clip

A rare find, this dress clip is signed Kaywin Novelty, NY.

Kaywin Novelty was founded by Dan Kasoff before he started Florenza. According to Larry Kasoff, son of Dan, the Kaywin Novelty Company started about 1928. It was a combined name with his partner Marty Weiner. The company closed about 1938 or a little later and Dan went on his own.

 This clip has a gold tone setting with dark green enamel leaves that have amethyst rhinestone centers. The center has dark purple (almost black) enamel flowers with white tipped edges. The edges are curled back and are embellished with amethyst rhinestones. This marvelous clip measures 2 x 2-1/4 inches tall. The signature is clearly visible and this clip is in excellent vintage condition. The pictures do not do it justice, it is much prettier in person.
