J-771 Fred Gray Lovebirds Under Umbrella

 

Marked with an S inside a star, this brooch is a Fred Gray depiction of two love birds under an umbrealla. The gold wash setting has purple enamel that can be seen on their wings, umbrella and flower. They are sitting on a gold tone branch with green enamel leaves and purple rhinestones. The tail feathers and head are white enamel with a touch of red. The bodies are purple faceted glass ovals and they have red rhinestone eyes. There is some age related wear to the enamel on the umbrella. This cute vintage figural brooch measures 1-7/8 x 2-1/8 inches tall.
