J-Col010 Nippon Yellow Peony Vase

 

The Peony is the king of flowers in Japan and you will often see it on vases, wall hangings and other Oriental decorative objects. This white porcelain vase is hand painted Nippon, c.1910, with the green M in a wreath for Morimura Bros, the sole importer of Noritake wares. This vase is white with a pale gray band on top and bottom accented with gold. Pale yellow peony flowers with red centers and green leaves accent the vase. The vase measures 8-3/8 inches tall, 3-3/4 inches across the base and the 5 inches across the top.  No cracks, chips or breaks, just normal daily wear as may be expected with age. More pictures are available ~ if you need to see them, please email us.
