In 1949, eight brooches were made by Marcel Boucher in the "Ballet of Jewels" collection. This one is an unsigned version of the brooch named Peter who was a companion to Sonia. This graceful male dancer has a gold tone setting with a matte finish. Brightly colored 2 mm jewel and pastel rhinestones adorn the entire body. The vintage unsigned brooch measures 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 wide. The patent number is #154096,  dated 1949 was granted to Marcel Boucher for the design of this pin. It is not marked, all stones are present and full of sparkle and is in excellent condition.
