Coro Craft Sterling 1942 "Jay" Bird Enamel Rhinestone Duette Brooch In Gorgeous shades of red, green, yellow, and off white enameling, sparkling clear rhinestones, and a gold vermeil over sterling finish. This duette is signed Coro Craft sterling on one clip, Coro duette, PAT. No. 1798867 and Sterling on frame, and Sterling on both clip backs. This pi dates to the 1940’s, and has a patent reference design patent 133,497 was issued Aug. 18, 1942 and signed by Adolph Katz. This brooch can be seen in Brunialti's book "American Costume Jewelry A-M" on page 129. All the rhinestones are present, bright, and full of sparkle with only a few that is beginning to show their age. Enamel has some tiny nicks here and there, visible on close inspection, otherwise in very good condition. All pieces are in perfect working order.This duette measures 2 7/8" X 2 1/4" what a great addition to any Collection.
